How AI is powering recruitment

As we enter into the last quarter of 2019, we have seen artificial intelligence continue to develop and evolve throughout the year. An indication of a global trend that is predicted to continue to expand, more and more businesses are seeking to improve and streamline their processes, decision making, and way of doing business.

As a part of this growth, AI is becoming an integral part of successfully recruiting new employees. In order to address multi-sector talent shortages, AI can be used to improve staff engagement, create positive candidate experiences, and effectively match the right employee to the right position.

 

1. Improved engagement

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if your employees were so engaged with their role and you that you did not need to recruit at all? Whilst this may seem a bit of an elusive goal, when a company focuses on those who turn up every day, it reduces the need for recruitment because fewer of them are leaving. AI can be used to increase engagement with current employees by:

By using AI powered recruitment an applicant tracking software, recruiters are able to specify certain parameters which will provide access to candidates around the world. AI can then be used to assess candidates and to streamline the communications between employer and potential employee.

With AI-powered recruiting, it is possible for more candidates to be considered and evaluated for open positions as well as supporting recruiters in making connections in a way that supports a much more fluid and supportive candidate experience.

 

3. Matching the right talent to the right role

Using AI in recruitment means that employers are able to identify the best applicants based on how much they match the criteria of the position. Access to streamlined data makes it much easier to search and then match candidates to new jobs as well as being able to predict whether a past applicant might be ready to talk about working at your business. By using automated data analysis, you can improve the time to hire whilst increasing the chances of finding a good fit.

AI’s continued use in the working world is not about replacing humans with it, but rather using it to improve hiring processes whilst keeping current employees happy.
